Mammootty Back With A Thriller

Mammootty is reportedly all set to play the lead role in a thriller. The yet to be titled movie, directed by debutante duo Akhil Paul-Anas Khan, is inspired from the Hollywood movie series, Die Hard.

The actor has earlier acted in some exceptional investigative thrillers, including Oru CBI Diary Kurippu and its sequels. Mammootty is one of the actors who suits the best for the police and investigative officer characters in Malayalam movie industry.

The movie is penned and directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan themselves. Akhil Paul has earlier penned the script for 7th Day, the investigative thriller, which has Prithviraj in the central role.

The female lead, the rest of the star cast and technical crew are yet to be finalized. The project is expected to have an official launching ceremony soon.

According to the directors, the movie will completely make use of Mammootty's exceptional acting skills and the stardom. The team is currently in search for an appropriate title for the movie, which is expected to hit the theatres for Christmas 2015.

Mammootty is currently filming for the upcoming Kamal directed project Utopiayile Rajavu. The actor has reportedly completed the first schedule filming for the Marthandan directed movie Acha Dhin.
