Mammootty,
the
big
M
of
M'town,
is
extremely
impressed
with
the
recently
released
spoof
movie
Chirakodinja
Kinavukal.
He
feels
that
it
is
not
just
a
spoof
movie,
but
a
landmark
movie
of
Malayalam
movie
industry.
The
actor
says
that
the
movie
has
brilliantly
portrayed
the
over-used
cliches
of
Malayalam
movies;
including
the
situations
from
his
movies.
Mammootty
also
admitted
that
his
movies
have
also
been
using
the
same
cliches.
He
was
addressing
the
audience
during
the
pooja
ceremony
of
Utopiayile
Rajavu,
directed
by
Kamal.
Interestingly,
Chirakodinja
Kinavukal
is
based
on
a
comical
situation
of
Mammootty-Kamal
duo's
Azhakiya
Ravanan.
Kamal,
the
director
who
was
also
present
at
the
event,
stated
that
he
supports
Mammootty's
statement.
The
veteran
filmmaker
feels
that
such
experiments
is
an
absolute
necessity
in
the
growth
of
Malayalam
movie
industry.
Chirakodinja
Kinavukal,
which
is
the
first
ever
spoof
movie
of
Malayalam
movie
industry,
has
been
receiving
wide
acclaims
from
the
audience
and
critics.
The
movie
is
directed
by
debutante
Santhosh
Viswanath.
Utopiayile
Rajavu,
the
upcoming
movie
which
marks
the
5th
collaboration
of
Mammootty-Kamal
duo.
The
actor
will
be
playing
a
sculptor
in
the
movie.
The
filming
of
the
movie
is
progressing
in
Trivandrum.
