Mammootty In Alphonse Puthren's Next?

Mammootty, the Big M of Mollywood, is reportedly all set to play the lead role in Alphonse Puthren's next directorial venture. The Premam director and the actor have not confirmed the reports yet.

Sources suggest that Mammootty, who is highly impressed with Alphonse Puthren's past ventures, is keen to work with the young filmmaker. The actor, who is back on the success track is planning to team up with the young promising directors.

According to the rumour mills, Mammootty is currently not interested in associating with big budget films, as the risk is much higher. He is planning to be a part of low budget light-hearted films, which offer a minimum guarantee.

Mammootty takes the credit of introducing some super-talented filmmakers including Lal Jose, Anwar Rasheed, Aashiq Abu, Amal Neerad etc into the industry. Unlike his contemporaries, he has always been willing to work with the younger generation.

The actor has always mentioned that bonding with the younger generation keeps him young, lively and updated. If the reports are to be true, the fans will soon get to see a Mammootty-Alphonse Puthren movie.
