Ratnam's
next
movie.

rolling

2016.

close
to
Mammootty,
Mani
Ratnam
has
already
approached
him
with
the
offer
and
the
actor
is
extremely
keen
about
the
project.
Mammootty
has
earlier
acted
in
Mani
Ratnam's
landmark
movie
Thalapathi,
along
with
Rajinikanth.
As
per
the
reports,
Mammootty
has
been
approached
for
the
same
project
in
which
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
is
roped
in
to
play
the
female
lead.
AR
Rahman
will
compose
the
music
and
PC
Sreeram
will
handle
the
cinematography
for
the
movie.
Mani
Ratnam
has
always
mentioned
that
he
has
a
huge
admiration
for
Mammootty.
The
director
was
very
keen
to
cast
the
actor
in
his
classic
movie
Iruvar.
But
Mammootty
backed
out
from
the
project
as
he
felt
that
he
is
not
suitable
for
the
role.
Thalapathi,
the
only
collaboration
of
Mani
Ratnam
and
Mammootty,
is
considered
as
one
of
the
finest
films
of
South
Indian
Cinema.
It
is
doubtlessly
one
of
the
best
films

by
Mani
Ratnam.
