CONFIRMED: Mohanlal And B Unnikrishnan With 'Grandmaster 2'

Mohanlal And B Unnikrishnan, the actor-director duo will soon team up for a new project, which will be the sequel of the blockbuster movie Grandmaster. Mohanlal will reprise his role IG Chandrasekhar in the sequel.

The sequel, which has been titled as Grandmaster 2, will also have a popular young actor of M'town in a pivotal role. B Unnikrishnan himself announced the news in the recent interview given to a popular online media.

If the reports are to be true, Priya Mani, who played the female lead opposite Mohanlal in the original, will be reprising her role in the sequel as well. More details about the project will be revealed soon.

Grandmaster, which revolved around a murder series and the police officer who investigates the crime, was a major hit of 2012. The movie was penned by director Unnikrishnan himself.

Anoop Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Narain, Roma, Seetha, Fathima Babu Siddique, Devan etc appeared in the supporting roles in the movie, which was produced by the popular banner UTV Motion Pictures.

B Unnikrishan-Mohanlal duo's last venture Mr Fraud was a box office disaster.If things fall in place, Grandmaster 2 will start rolling immediately after Mohanlal finishes the filming of his upcoming movies Kanal and Puli Murugan.
