The
filming
of
the
upcoming
Mohanlal
starrer
movie
Puli
Murugan
is
reportedly
suspended.
The
filming
has
been
suspended
upon
the
stay
order
issued
by
Kerala
High
Court,
on
the
basis
of
a
petition
filed
by
a
person
named
Naushad.
Puli
Murugan
shoot
was
progressing
at
the
forest
areas
of
Pooyam
Kutti
locality,
since
past
few
weeks.
Naushad,
who
is
a
localite
alleges
that
the
team
is
misusing
the
forest,
thus
causing
harm
to
the
ecosystem.
According
to
Naushad,
an
immense
amount
of
plastic
and
rubber,
which
are
used
for
creating
sets,
has
been
dumped
inside
the
forest.
The
team
was
also
planning
to
shoot
a
bomb
blast
scene
in
the
forest;
which
is
likely
to
cause
heavy
damages
to
the
forest
and
its
life.
The
High
Court
has
reportedly
ordered
the
Malayattoor
District
Forest
Officer
to
make
a
quick
enquiry
upon
the
issue
and
submit
a
detailed
report
soon.
The
final
decision
will
be
made
after
the
Court
analyze
the
DFO's
reports.
Puli
Murugan,
which
is
one
of
the
most
awaited
movies
of
the
year,
has
always
been
in
trouble
since
the
pre-production.
Initially,
lead
actor
Mohanlal
was
unsatisfied
with
the
script
and
almost
backed
out
from
the
project.
Later,
the
movie
faced
severe
financial
issues
and
was
almost
in
the
verge
of
being
shelved.
Puli
Murugan,
which
is
directed
by
Vysakh,
will
feature
Kamalinee
Mukherjee
in
the
female
lead
and
Prabhu
Ganesan
in
a
pivotal
role.
