Nithya Menen To Lead In Queen Remake?

Nithya Menen, the actress who is on a high with a handful of prestigious projects in her kitty, is reportedly all set play set to play the central character in the official remake of blockbuster movie Queen.

Kangana Ranaut has played the lead role in the original version. The actress has won several awards and accolades for her performance in the movie, directed by Vikas Bahl.

Queen revolves around Rani, a Delhi girl who travels alone to Paris for her honeymoon. The remake is planned as a tri-lingual flick, which will be shot in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Thiagarajan, the popular actor-director has garnered the remake rights of Queen recently. He has also revealed that he is searching for a heroine, who can pull off the character in all the languages.

Nithya Menen, who has already established herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses of South Indian cinema, fits the critieria the best. However, the reports are yet to be officially confirmed.

100 Days Of Love and Ok Kanmani, the upcoming movies of Nithya Menen, in which she pairs up with Dulquer Salmaan, are slated to release on March 20th and April respectively. She will also share screen with Allu Arjun in Son Of Sathyamurthy.
