Nivin Pauly Is Eligible For Star Status: Asif Ali
Asif Ali, the young actor feels that his contemporary Nivin Pauly is completely eligible for the star status. Asif Ali was talking in the recent interview given to Grihalakshmi magazine.
He feels that Nivin Pauly's films offer the minimum guarantee for the audience. So there is nothing wrong in considering Nivin as the superstar of the younger generation. But at the same time, no actor can be compared to Mohanlal.
The actor states the great success of Premam is a healthy sign for Mollywood. Asif Ali hopes that some other blockbuster movie will soon break the collection records of Premam, like how it crossed the records made by Drishyam.
Nirnaayakam, the Asif Ali starrer movie which was released immediately after Premam, earned huge critical acclaims; but ended up as a box office failure. But Asif was highly praised for his performance in the movie.
Asif Ali has always been keen to share the screen with his contemporaries. He has acted with Nivin Pauly in the path breaking movie Traffic, in which Nivin appeared in a cameo role.
The actor later shared the screen with Prithviraj in Anil Radhakrishnan's Sapthamashree Thaskaraha and the upcoming flick Double Barrel. He has acted with Kunchacko Boban in Ordinary and Jayasurya in Husbands In Goa.
