If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
will
not
be
declared
this
year.
As
per
the
close
sources,
the
State
Awards
has
been
delayed
due
to
the
internal
conflicts
between
the
Government
and
Chalachitra
Academy.
Usually,
the
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
will
be
declared
before
or
at
the
same
time
of
National
Film
Awards.
But
this
time,
there
is
absolutely
no
information
about
the
State
Awards
yet.
Kerala
Government
has
been
planning
for
a
complete
change
in
the
structure
of
State
Film
Awards,
on
the
grounds
of
the
controversies
based
on
the
awards
declaration,
in
the
last
few
years.
Earlier,
the
Kerala
Chalachitra
Academy
had
appointed
a
panel
with
Adoor
Gopalakrishnan
as
the
head,
to
study
the
essential
changes,
that
should
be
made
on
the
Film
Awards
declaration,
award
categories
and
prize
money.
Later,
the
academy
submitted
a
detailed
report
based
on
the
Adoor
Gopalakrishnan
panel's
findings
to
Government.
According
to
Chalachitra
Academy
Chairman
Rajeevnath,
the
ministry
hasn't
responded
to
the
reports
yet.
Popular
Malayalam
movie
industry
personalities
consider
this
incident
as
a
clear
example
for
Government's
cold
approach
towards
the
film
industry.
A
final
decision
upon
the
State
Film
Awards
is
yet
to
be
taken.
