Prabhu Joins Mohanlal's Puli Murugan

Prabhu, the veteran Tamil actor will play a pivotal role in the upcoming Mohanlal starrer movie Puli Murugan, directed by Vysakh. Prabhu last appeared in Malayalam, in Vinayan directed Dracula 3D.

Mohanlal will essay the title character in the movie, which is penned by Udayakrishna, of the popular scenarist duo Sibi K Thomas-Udayakrishna. Puli Murugan is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam, under the banner Mulakupadam Films.

The female lead, rest of the cast and further details of the movie are yet to be finalised. The movie, which is said to be an out-and-out entertainer will star rolling from the first week of May.

Mohanlal and Prabhu has earlier shared screen in Priyadarshan directed Kaalapani, which has been one of the classic movies of Malayalam movie industry. The actors has shared screen in some advertisements as well.

Prabhu's father, legendary actor Shivaji Ganeshan has shared screen with Mohanlal in Prathap Pothan directed Oru Yathramozhi, in which he played Mohanlal's father.

Prabhu has always maintained a warm relationship with Mohanlal and family and has remarked that Mohanlal is a brotherly figure for him.

Expectations are riding high on the project, as it marks the association the most sought-out actors of Malayalam and Tamil movie industry. Puli Murugan is expected to mark the comeback of Mohanlal into action roles as well.
