By Akhila Menon

Prithviraj, the actor who is all set to play Lord Krishna in the upcoming movie Syamanthakam, is reportedly planning to take special training in martial arts and horse riding. Syamanthakam is written and directed by Hariharan.

As per the reports, Prithviraj is highly excited about the project. According to director Hariharan, Prithviraj was the initial choice for the central character Lord Krishna. The director feels that Prithvi's looks and personality perfectly matches the role.

If the sources are to be true, Syamanthakam will portray Lord Krishna in a much different manner; mainly as an eternal lover and skillful king. The rest of the star cast is yet to be finalized.

Syamanthakam revolves around the story of a precious stone. The movie depicts Krishna's strained relationship with Sathrajith and his marriages with Rukmini, Satyabhama, and Jambhavathi. A senior Bollywood actor will play Sathrajith in the movie.

Some popular actresses from South Indian industry and Bollywood are expected to play the female leads in the project. The movie is produced by Gokulam Gopalan, under the banner Gokulam Movies.

Prithviraj, on the other hand, has some highly promising projects lining up for release. His latest projects, including Double Barrel, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Anarkali will hit the theatres in the upcoming months.
