Prithviraj To Join Mohanlal's Kanal

Prithviraj, the young promising actor of M'town, is reportedly all set to share the screen with his most favourite actor, Mohanlal. Prithviraj will play the central character along with Mohanlal, in Padmakumar's Kanal.

The director and crew haven't confirmed the reports yet. Prithviraj has earlier joined hands with Padmakumar for the movies Ammakkilikkoodu, Vargam and Vasthavam, for which he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.

Mohanlal, on the other hand, has acted in Padmakumar's Shikkar. Sources suggest that Kanal is a revenge drama, revolves around two strangers who meet up in Dubai, with revenge filled minds.

Kanal is depicted with the tagline, Every Ending Has A New Beginning. The movie is penned by Suresh Babu, who has earlier penned the Padmakumar-Mohanlal movie Shikkar, which was a moderate success.

The female lead, the rest of the star cast and technical crew of the movie are yet to be finalised. Kanal is an ambitious project for Padmakumar, who has been going through a low phase in his career.

Expectations are riding high on the project, as it marks the first collaboration of Mohanlal and Prithviraj. The duo is also expected to share the screen in Priyadarshan's next movie, which is said to be a political thriller.
