Rani
Padmini
official
trailer
is
out.
The
movie,
which
stars
Manju
Warrier
and
Rima
Kallingal
in
the
lead
roles,
is
directed
by
Aashiq
Abu.
The
2.21
seconds
long
trailer
looks
interesting
and
raises
the
expectations
on
the
movie.
The
trailer
starts
with
the
self-criticizing
dialogues
of
the
character
Padmini,
played
by
Manju
Warrier.
Then
it
introduces
the
highly
tomboyish
Rani,
who
even
went
on
to
introduce
herself
as
Padmini's
brother-in-law,
to
a
man.
From
the
trailer,
it
is
clear
that
Rani
Padmini
is
a
very
different
travel
movie
which
revolves
around
two
women
who
come
from
entirely
different
backgrounds.
Padmini,
an
extremely
feminine,
family-bounded
woman
and
Rani,
a
real
odd
ball.
Later
the
trailer
introduces
some
interesting
characters,
situations
and
visuals,
which
make
the
movie
even
more
promising.
The
last
scene
in
the
trailer-
the
little
conversation
between
Rani
and
Padmini
looks
highly
refreshing
and
tender.
Rani
Padmini
is
penned
by
Shyam
Pushkaran
and
Ravi
Sankar.
Madhu
Neelakandan
handles
the
cinematography.
Bijibal
composes
the
music.
The
movie,
which
is
produced
by
PM
Harris
and
VS
Muhammed
Althaf
under
the
banner
Fort
Entertainment,
will
release
on
October
23.
