Warrier

Rima
Kallingal

the
lead
roles,
will
start
rolling
on
April
20th.
Aashiq
posted
the
first
look
poster
of
the
movie
in
his
official
Facebook
page.
As
per
the
reports,
Rani
Padmini
is
a
travel
movie
which
revolves
around
the
journey
of
two
woman,
from
Kochi
to
Delhi,
which
later
extends
to
Jammu
Kashmir
and
Himachal
Pradesh.
Earlier,
it
was
rumoured
that
Manju
Warrier
is
omitted
from
the
project,
due
to
her
huge
remuneration.
But
later,
Aashiq
Abu
slammed
the
rumours
by
stating
that
Manju
is
very
much
a
part
of
the
project.
It
will
be
a
comeback
movie
for
Rima
Kallingal,
who
has
been
staying
out
of
limelight,
for
her
dream
project-Mamangam
school
of
dance.
Reports
suggest
that
the
actress
will
also
make
her
first
step
into
filmmaking
with
the
movie.
Rani
Padmini
is
an
ambitious
project
for
Aashiq
Abu,
who
tasted
a
huge
failure
with
his
last
directorial
venture
Gangster.
The
movie,
which
had
Mammootty
in
the
lead
role,
was
heavily
criticized
by
the
audience
and
critics.
The
movie
is
penned
by
Shyam
Pushkaran
and
Ravi
Sankar.
Madhu
Neelakandan
handles
the
cinematography.
Rani
Padmini,
produced
by
PM
Harris
and
VS
MUhammed
Althaf,
is
slated
to
release
fro
October.
