Siddique To Remake Bhaskar The Rascal

Siddique, the hitmaker of M'town, is reportedly planning for a Bollywood remake of Bhaskar The Rascal, his recently released Mammootty-Nayantara starrer movie. The project is expected to have an official announcement soon.

Nayantara will reprise her role from the original in the remake; thus making her Bollywood debut. The actress had earlier expressed her interest in reprising her role in the remakes and signed the movie after Siddique promised to cast her in the remake.

The director has always stated he would like to cast Nayantara in his movies. The director has always stated that he would like to work with the actress again and he respects her for her professionalism and disciplined lifestyle.

A big shot of Bollywood will play the lead role in the movie, which is played by Mammootty in the original. More details regarding the cast and crew will be revealed soon. Siddique and Nayantara haven't commented on the reports yet.

Siddique made his Bollywood debut with the remake of his blockbuster movie Bodyguard, which had Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. He had also remade the movie in Tamil, with Vijay and Asin in the leads.

Interestingly, the director initially wanted to Nayantara to reprise her role from the original, in Tamil and Bollywood remakes of Bodyguard. The actress had turned down the offers due to her busy schedule and the roles went on to Kareena and Asin.
