Social Media Kills The Movies: Dileep

By Akhila Menon

Dileep, the Janapriyanayakan, has never been in good terms with social media. In a recent interview, Dileep openly thrashed the social networking sites and stated that they kill the movies in the day of release itself.

The actor feels that publishing negative reviews on the day of a movie release is equal to killing a child within a few hours of birth. Dileep feels that the live reviews are the highest form of injustice towards a cinema.

It is highly disappointing that the so-called online review writers write the detailed story of the movie, in the name of reviews. Every suspense factor of a film will be revealed in social media within few hours of release.

The increasing tendency of the social media users to write movie reviews hasn't gone well with the film fraternity. The suspense factor of Dileep's latest movie Life Of Josutty was revealed in social media in the first day itself.

But at the same time, Dileep seems to have conveniently forgotten that his successful movies were highly celebrated in the social media. His recent films like Chandrettan Evideya and Love 24x7 earned immense popularity through social media.

It is a fact that the spoilers are high in number and definitely need to be controlled. But at the same time, modern day movies are heavily promoted through the social media and owes a huge part of their success, of them.
