Suresh
Gopi,
the
action
star
of
M'town,
will
be
soon
appointed
as
the
Chairman
of
National
Film
Development
Corporation.
The
actor
is
the
first
Malayali
to
be
the
Chairman
of
NFDC.
As
per
the
reports,
Suresh
Gopi
had
recently
met
the
Union
Minister
for
Information
and
Broadcasting,
Arun
Jaitley,
and
Minister
of
State,
Rajyavardhan
Singh
Rathore
at
New
Delhi,
prior
to
the
posting.
If
things
fall
in
place,
Suresh
Gopi
will
soon
replace
veteran
filmmaker
Ramesh
Sippy,
who
is
the
current
Chairman
of
NFDC.
The
NFDC
Chairman
position
is
equivalent
to
the
post
of
a
Minister
of
State.
National
Film
Development
Corporation
is
an
agency
which
works
for
promoting
the
various
Indian
language
films
in
the
foreign
countries
and
bringing
up
the
best
foreign
language
films
to
India.
The
agency
mainly
works
for
the
better
promotion
of
the
films
from
various
languages
and
culture.
National
Film
Development
Corporation
is
functioning
under
the
Ministry
of
Information
and
Broadcasting,
Government
of
India.
The
NDFC
Chairman
post
is
considered
to
