Vellimoonga To Be Remade Into Tamil

Vellimoonga, the recently released Biju Menon starrer is all set to be remade into Tamil. If the reports are to be true, popular director Sundar C has bought the remake rights of Vellimoonga.

The sources suggest that Sundar C himself will direct the Tamil remake and reprise Biju Menon's character Maamachan. The female lead, rest of the cast & crew and further details of the movie are yet to be revealed.

Biju Menon played the central character in Vellimoonga, after a long gap. The actor, who has been playing supporting or negative roles in recent times; earned huge accolades for his performance in the movie.

Vellimoonga, directed by debutante Jibu Jacob, was the surprise box office success of 2014. The movie hit the theatres without any much expectations; but managed to grab highly positive reviews from both audience and critics.

Nikki Galrani essayed the female lead in Vellimoonga. Aju Varghese appeared in pivotal role. Asif Ali made a guest appearance. Siddique, Lena, KPAC Lalitha, Tini Tom, Sunil Sukhadha, Shashi Kalinga etc played the supporting roles.

The movie is penned by newcomer Joji Thomas. Vishnu Narayanan handled the cinematography. Bijibal composed the songs and background score. Vellimoonga is produced by Shashidharan Ullattil, under the banner Ullattil Visual Media.
