Jayasurya
and
Fahadh
Faasil
was
initially
offered
the
lead
role
of
the
award
winning
movie,
My
Life
Partner.
But
both
the
actors
turned
down
the
offer
and
the
role
later
went
to
Sudev
Nair.
It
is
doubtlessly
a
great
loss
for
both
Jayasurya
and
Fahadh
Faasil,
as
the
newcomer
Sudev
Nair
later
won
the
Kerala
State
Film
Award
for
Best
Actor,
for
his
extraordinary
performance
in
the
movie.
The
award
jury
has
been
heavily
criticized
by
the
social
media
for
not
considering
Jayasurya
for
the
Best
Actor
award.
Interestingly,
the
actor
has
rejected
the
role
which
earned
much
accolades
and
the
Best
Actor
Award.
According
to
director
Padmakumar,
Jayasurya
rejected
the
offer
as
he
was
busy
with
the
other
projects.
Later
the
director
approached
Fahadh
Faasil
for
the
role;
but
he
turned
down
the
offerand
chose
to
act
in
Bangalore
Days.
Padmakumar,
later
narrated
the
script
to
some
other
young
actors,
who
also
turned
down
the
offer
by
stating
various
reasons.
But
the
exact
reason
was
none
of
the
actors
wanted
to
play
a
homosexual,
onscreen.
Interestingly,
the
director
is
currently
busy
acting
in
a
couple
of
television
serials,
in
various
languages.
Padmakumar,
who
was
the
direction
assistant
of
veteran
filmmaker
Lohithadas,
has
played
the
antagonist
in
his
last
venture,
Nivedyam.
