Parampara, which released in the year 1990, had Mammootty in the role of a father and son. The film directed by Sibi Malayil had a spectacular performance from Mammootty
Dadasahib (2000)
Dadasahib, directed by Vinayan, had Mammootty doing dual role after a gap. Once again, Mammootty appeared as father and son in this film
Balram V/S Tharadas (2006)
Balram V/S Tharadas brought back two iconic characters from Mammootty's previous films. The film directed by I V Sasi had Mammootty playing both Balram and Tharadas.
Annan Thambi (2008)
For the first time in Mammootty's career, the actor appeared as twin brothers in a film. In this film directed by Anwar Rasheed, Mammootty portrayed Achu and Appu, twin brothers who are always at loggerheads.
Mayabazar (2008)
Mammootty appeared in dual role in this film directed by debutante Thomas Sebastian. The actor appeared as Rameshan and Swami in this film, with the latter character appearing towards the end of the film.
Ee Pattanathil Bhootham (2009)
This fantasy film directed by Johny Antony, had the actor in the role of a Bhootham(Ghost). The actor also appeared as a bike jumper named Jimmy.
Paleri Manikyam Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha (2009)
Paleri Manikyam Oru Paathira Kolapathakathinte Katha, had the actor in three different roles. All the three characters looked extremely different from one another and the performance of the actor made all the three characters convincing.
Drona (2010)
Once again, the actor appeared in the roles of twin brothers in this film. Mammootty appeared in two different get-ups, one as a tantric and the other as a stylish guy.
Cobra (2012)
Mammootty appeared as a boxer. In this film directed by Lal. The actor also appeared in another brief role, which appears towards the end of the film.
Balyakalasakhi (2014)
Balyakalasakhi, which was an adaptation of Basheer's novel of the same name had Mammootty doing the role of Majeed. The actor also appeared in the role of Majeed's father in the film.

Post 2000, the actor appeared in a number of films in which he had to play dual roles. In fact, in the film Paleri Manikyam, the actor appeared in three different roles.
There were also reports that Mammootty would be seen in three different roles in an upcoming film which would be directed by debutante Saji. No official confirmation has been given on this.
