A sequel of the film titled as Kilukkam Kilukilukkam was released in 2006. The film directed by Sandhya Mohan had Jayasurya, Kunchacko Boban and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles. Mohanlal did an extended cameo in the film.

The best part of the film is that the film had a good storyline. The comic sequences were not forced and it looked more real and natural.

The film had sparkling performances from all the major actors. Mohanlal was scintillating as Joji, and Jagathy did steal most of the scenes with his portrayal of Nischal.
