Andrea Jeremiah Joins Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan

Andrea Jeremiah, the actress-singer started filming for the upcoming Mammootty movie Thoppil Joppan. Recently, Andrea announced the news and shared a location selfie through her official Facebook page.

According to the sources, she is playing the character Annie, a chirpy small town woman, in the movie directed by Johny Antony. Andrea is sharing the screen with Mammootty, for the first time in her career.

The role, which was originally written for Amala Paul, went to Andrea after Amala turned down the offer due to her busy schedule. Thoppil Joppan will also have Mamtha Mohandas in a pivotal role.

Andrea Jeremiah made her Mollywood debut with the acclaimed movie Annayum Rasoolum. Later, she played the female lead in Prithviraj starrer London Bridge and Mohanlal-Ranjith team's Loham.

Thoppil Joppan revolves around the titular character Joppan, played by Mammootty. He is a strong kabaddi lover and the captain of 'Cheers' kabaddi team. Joppan is also a strong alcoholic.

It is a comeback movie for director Johny Antony, who is going through a low phase in his career. Thoppil Joppan is produced by Noushad Alathur and Jeevan Nazar, under the banner Grande Film Corporation.
