Anoop Menon Joins Vidya Balan's Aami

Anoop Menon, the actor-writer is all excited about his new project. Reportedly, Anoop has been roped in to play a key role in the upcoming Vidya Balan starring Kamala Surayya biopic.

The movie, which is reportedly titled as Aami is directed by the veteran film-maker Kamal. Anoop Menon, who confirmed the news, refused to reveal about his character in the movie.

The actor received a call from the director during his recent China trip. Kamal narrated his part in the movie through the phone, and Anoop immediately said yes, as he was eagerly waiting to work with the director.

Aami, which marks the Malayalam movie debut of National award-winning actress Vidya Balan, will also have Prithviraj in a vital role. Reportedly, Prithvi is playing a fictional character in the movie.

Murali Gopy, the talented writer-actor, will play the role of Kamala Surayya's husband Madhava Das. Director Kamal and the team are eagerly searching for some faces, who can play the young age of Kamala Surayya.

Aami is expected to start rolling by the end of 2016, after Vidya Balan completes her current projects. The movie, which is scripted by Kamal himself, is said to be releasing in two different parts.
