Anusree Turns Police Officer For Mohanlal's Oppam

Anusree, the versatile actress is all set to experiment with yet another different role. Reportedly, Anusree essays a police officer in Oppam, the upcoming Mohanlal starring thriller, directed by Priyadarshan.

The actress is playing a police officer for the first time in her career. Interestingly, some leading Mollywood actresses have been experimenting with police roles in the recent past. Anusree is the new addition to the list.

Reportedly, Anusree's role in the movie, which is said to be an out-and-out investigative thriller, is a short yet meaty one. The actress is sharing the screen with Mohanlal, for the first time in her career.

Oppam revolves around a visually-challenged man, who accidentally gets involved in a murder. The movie is scripted by Priyadarshan, himself and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner Aashirvad Cinema.

Anusree last appeared in the blockbuster movie Maheshinte Prathikaaram, in which she played the female lead opposite Fahadh Faasil. She essayed the character Soumya, a nurse in the movie directed by Dileesh Pothan.

Her performance in Sidharth Bharathan's Chandrettan Evideya as a dominating wife, was widely appreciated by both the audiences and critics. Anusree shared the screen with Dileep, for the first time in the movie.
