Arya, the young Tamil actor is back in the Malayalam movie industry with the upcoming Mammootty starrer The Great Father. Arya is playing the role which is originally written for Prithviraj, in the movie.
Reportedly, the actor is essaying the antagonist in the project, which is written and directed by debutant Haneef Adeni. But, Arya's character is not a typical baddie, but a different one.
According to the sources close to the project, it is an extremely challenging, performance-oriented negative character. Arya is said to be quite excited about the role and sharing the screen with Mammootty.
Prithviraj, who was supposed to play the role, backed out due to his busy schedule. It is the third Mollywood outing of Arya, who entered the industry with August Cinema's debut project Urumi.
My Great Father, which stars Sneha in the female lead, is produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Arya for August Cinema. Baby Sara appears as Mammootty and Sneha's daughter.
Reportedly, the movie which is said to be a family thriller depicts the story of the deep bonding between a little girl and her protective father. The rest of the star cast and further details will be revealed soon.
