Asianet Bags Vismayam Satellite Rights

Mohanlal's recent release Vismayam has managed to impress both the audiences and critics. As per the latest updates, the satellite right of the movie has been bagged by the leading TV channel, Asianet.

Star Group bagged the satellite right of the Telugu version, Manamantha and Malayalam version Vismayam, for 6.8 Crores. Manamatha and Vismayam will be aired in Star Group's Maa TV and Asianet, respectively.

The satellite right of the Tamil version of the family entertainer directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti, is yet to be sold. If the reports are to be true, Star Group has no plans to bag the rights of the Tamil version.

Vismayam has been widely accepted by the Malayali audiences, despite being a dubbed film. The movie, which marked the first release of Mohanlal in 2016, is delivering a decent performance at the box office.

The movie made an average opening at the box office, by collecting 68 Lakhs on its releasing day. Within the first 3 days of release, the Mohanlal movie has managed to make a total gross collection of 2.61 Crores.

Vismayam, which stars Gauthami, Urvashi, Nedumudi Venu, Joy Mathew, etc. in the supporting roles, is expected to be released in more theatres this week. The movie is produced by Varahi Chalana Chithram.
