Biju Menon Is Just Brilliant As Kuttiyappan: Unni R

Unni R, the writer of Leela, is all praises for the lead actor Biju Menon. In a recent interview, Unni stated that Biju has brilliantly played the central character, Kuttiyappan.

According to the writer, the actor just astonished the team with his effortless acting skills and excellent dialogue delivery. Unni feels that no actor can play Kuttiyappan, better than Biju Menon.

Initially, the role was offered to several actors, including the superstars Mammootty, Mohanlal, and writer-actor Shankar Ramakrishnan. But all of them turned down the offer due to one or the other reasons.

It was Unni R's wife, who first felt that Biju Menon is perfect for the role. Later, actor Suresh Krishna also suggested director Ranjith and Unni, to consider Biju, as he felt that he can pull off the character.

Even though Biju was initially reluctant to accept the offer, the actor later changed his decision. The team is planning to release Leela worldwide on April 22nd through internet, which is for the first time in Mollywood.

Parvathy Nambiar essays the title role in the movie, which also stars Vijayaraghavan, Jagadheesh, Indrans etc in the key roles. The movie is produced by Ranjith himself, under the banner Capitol Theatre.
