    Bollywood beauties have always fancied their chance of working in Mollywood. They are definite to grab further opportunities if they are being paired opposite talented artists like Mammootty and Mohanlal . Incidentally, most of the Bollywood beauties who have worked in Malayalam films made their Mollywood debut through Mammootty starrers.

    Here is a list of Bollywood actresses who made their Mollywood debut through Mammooty starrers.


    Much before she charmed the Mollywood screens with films like Devadoothan and Pranayam, she made her debut in Malayalam cinema debut through a film called Iniyum Katha Thudarum which had Mammootty in the lead role.

    Juhi Chawla

    She might be the luckiest among the lot as she got the chance to work with two of the most talented actors of the country, Mammootty and Mohanlal through Harikrishnans.

    Priya Gill

    Priya Gill, who is well-known for her roles in Hindi films like Sirf Tum and Josh made an entry to Malayalam film industry through Priyadarshan's Megham, which had Mammootty in the lead role.

    Namritha Shirodkar

    This former Miss India made her Malayalam cinema debut playing the female lead in the film called Ezhupunna Tharakan directed by P G Viswambharan and starring Mammootty. Later on, she went on to feature in a number of Bollywood films.

    Katrina Kaif

    The beauty queen of Bollywood has also worked in a Malayalam film. In the initial phases of her careeer, she got the opportunity to work with Mammootty.Balram v/s Tharadas, which was an ambitious project, had Katrina Kaif playing the female lead.

    Tulip Joshi

    Tulip Joshi made her Malayalam cinema debut through Major Ravi's Mission 90 Days starring Mammootty.

    Tisca Chopra

    This talented actress of Bollywood had made a short, but vital appearance in the film called Mayabazaar, which again had Mammootty in the lead role. Unfortunately, the film flopped at the Box office.

    Gracy Singh

    Mammootty starrer Loudspeaker, had Gracy Singh doing an important role. The film directed by Jayaraj was widely accalaimed, so were the performances of lead actors.

    Tapasee Pannu

    Tapasee Pannu played an important role in the Mammootty starrer Doubles, directed by Sohan Seenulal. This was much before she made an entry to Bollywood films.

    Huma Qureshi

    The latest to join the league is Huma Qureshi. She has been paired opposite Mammootty in the movie White, directed by Pranayakalam fame Uday Ananthan.

    Popular Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is also all set to mark her presence in Mollywood through Mammootty's upcoming film White. The film directed by Uday Ananthan, narrates the love story between a middle aged man and a young lady. Mammootty comes in the role of a banker named Prakash Roy and Huma appears as Roshni menon, an IT professional. Major portions of the movie were shot in London.

    Initially, actresses like Trisha and Vidya Balan were considered for the lead role. But, finally Huma qureshi got the nod and ventured into the project. There were reports that, Huma Qureshi had to drop another project starring Amitabh Bachchan in Bollywood to allocate dates for White.
