Prithviraj Movies With A Campus Connection!

Well, Prithviraj recently said in an interview that the actor is not interested in doing normal campus flicks anymore. The actor is planning to be more selective and would be taking up only those characters which would challenge him as an actor

But, the fact is that the actor himself has acted in very few campus flicks. Let us take a look at some of the Prithviraj movies which have had a campus connection.

Classmates

Classmates

Classmates, directed by Lal Jose, is the most popular campus flick of Prithviraj. But, the film was more than just a normal campus flick and had friendship as the main theme evoking a sense of nostalgia on all viewers.

How can anyone forget this entertainer which narrated a campus story with a difference. The story of a guy who comes to study in a ladies college was well accepted by the audiences.

Puthiya Mugham

This cannot be termed as an out-and-out campus movie, but still the campus plays an important role in this action flick which raised the stardom of Prithviraj to a new level.

Nammal Thammil

Nammal Thammil directed by Viji Thampi had both Prithviraj and Indrajith in lead roles. The film was shot during the initial days of Prithviraj's career. The film failed miserably at the box office.

Swapnakoodu

Not exactly a campus movie, but still the film has a small campus connection. The film had Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya in roles of hotel management students.

Out of the campus movies in which he has acted, Classmates directed by Lal Jose does stand out, as the movie went on to be a real trendsetter breaking many box office collection records.

Prithviraj started his acting career with Nandanam directed by Ranjith. The film offered him a perfect launchpad to the industry.

Having started his acting career at the age of 19, he has mostly appeared as characters of more than his own age. He did mature characters as that of in the films like Chakram,Vargam, Stop Violence etc in his early 20's.

Well, we would like to applaud Prithviraj for taking such a stand which is indeed a daring one. We are sure that we would get quality films from this actor in the times to come.
