Ezra Is A Honest Horror Film: Prithviraj

Ezra, the highly anticipated Prithviraj movie is all set to hit the theatres for Christmas 2016. In the recent interview given to IANS, the actor revealed some interesting details about the movie, which is directed by Jay K.

According to Prithviraj, the movie is the most honest horror movie in the history of Malayalam movie industry. The actor states that Ezra is a slow burn horror thriller, like the popular Hollywood movie The Omen.

Even though he has been a part of a few horror films in the past, all of them were more in the lines of horror comedies. But Ezra is made without such a backup track and is a realistic approach towards the paranormal.

Prithviraj was initially planning to produce the film by himself, under the banner August Cinema. But the company couldn't take up Ezra, due to its other commitments. Later, Mukesh Mehta took over the production.

Ezra, which revolves around the Jewish community of Kochi region, will also have a strong romantic track. Priya Anand, the popular actress makes her Malayalam movie debut, as the female lead of the movie.

The rest of the star cast includes Tovino Thomas, Prathap Pothen, Vijayaraghavan, Babu Antony, Sudhev Nair, Sujith Shankar, Ann Sheetal, etc. Sujith Vasudev handles the cinematography and Rahul Raj composes the music.
