By Akhila Menon

Fahadh Faasil, the talented actor is all set to team up with film-maker Marthandan, for his next venture. Recently, Marthandan revealed why he chose Fahadh for the lead role in his film.

According to the director, the central character of his next film demands an actor with innocence. Fahadh Faasil has an inborn innocence, which makes him the perfect choice for the character.

Marthandan points out the recently released Maheshinte Prathikaaram and superhit movie Oru Indian Pranayakadha, as the perfect examples for Fahadh's brilliant portrayal of an innocent small town young man.

Reportedly, Fahadh Faasil's character in the movie is a young man who hails from a village in Kannur. He will be using pure Kannur dialect in the movie, which is scripted by the Vellimoonga scenarist Joji Thomas.

The untitled flick, which is produced by Weekend Blockbusters, will start rolling in 2017. The title of the movie, the female lead, and the rest of the star cast, and technical crew, are yet to be finalized.

Fahadh is currently filming for the directorial debut of editor Mahesh Narayanan, which also stars Kunchacko Boban and Parvathy in the leads. He will soon make his Tamil debut, with Jayam Raja's next.
