Fahadh Faasil Was The Only Choice As Mahesh: Dileesh Pothan

Dileesh Pothan, the actor who makes his directorial debut with Maheshinte Prathikaaram, says Fahadh Faasil as the only choice for the role Mahesh. Dileesh was talking in a recent interview.

According to him, scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran penned the story with Fahadh Faasil in his mind. After the scripting, the entire team felt that Fahadh is the only actor who can play Mahesh to near perfection.

Mahesh is a character, which is highly inspired by some real life characters. It is a character which demands an actor with exceptional actings skills and the body language of a commoner at the same time.

When writer Syam and Dileesh consulted Aashiq Abu, the producer of the movie, he suggested Fahadh Faasil for the title role Mahesh. Then, the team decided to rope in Fahadh for the role.

It is the same way the team cast Anusree as the female lead of the movie. Director Dileesh felt that the actress is perfect for the role of an Idukki-based young woman and approached her to play Soumya.

Mahehsinte Prathikaaram, which marks the second collaboration of Fahadh Faasil with Aashiq Abu after the huge success of 22 Female Kottayam, will hit the theatres on February 5th, Friday.
