How Is Mammootty's Kasaba Different?

Mammootty, the Big M of Mollywood, is back with yet another police role. Interestingly, Mammootty is playing a different police role in Kasaba, the directorial debut of Nithin Renji Panicker.

As per the sources close to the project, the actor's character, Circle Inspector Rajan Zachariah is not like his earlier police officer roles. Rajan is an officer who is very cunning and soft-natured.

He is not one of those filmy police officers, who stuns with the strong actions and dialogues. Instead, CI Rajan is an officer, who knows well to fit into any type of situations and solve the issues.

Reportedly, Mammootty said 'yes' to the director, as he was extremely impressed with his role and the total nature of the movie. The filming of Kasaba is progressing at the various locations of Bangalore.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the Tamil actress makes her Mollywood movie debut, as the leading lady of Kasaba. Southern actress Poonam Bajwa is also said to be depicting an important role in the movie.

Kalabhavan Navas and Badai Bungalow fame Manoj Guinness play the supporting roles. Kasaba is produced by Renji Panicker and Anto Joseph under the banner Good Will Entertainments.
