The makers of White did go for a ride, in finding the lead actress for the film. Initially, there were reports that Trisha would be doing the lead role. Then name of Vidya Balan popped up. Finally, the makers zeroed in Huma Qureshi.

The script of White has been written jointly by Uday Ananthan, Praveen Balakrishnan and Nandini Valsan. It is heard that writers have done a great job in providing a tight script.
Third Venture Of Eros International In Malayalam
White is the third venture of Eros International in Malayalam cinema after the highly successful Pathemari (distribution) and Dileep starrer Life Of Josutty (joint production).
The English Cinematographer
White also introduces a new cinematographer to Mollywood. His name is Amarjit Singh who is an English cinematographer. From the trailer, it seems like the choice was perfect.

Renowned costume designer Karishma Acharya, who has worked in Bollywood films like Happy Ending, has designed the costumes for the film.
White, is the comeback venture of Uday Ananthan, after a long break. He debuted in Malayalam films through the film Pranayakalam released in 2007. He also made a short film named Mrityunjayam in the anthology movie Kerala Cafe.
In White, Mammootty plays the character of a banker named Prakash Roy and Huma Qreshi plays Roshni Menon, a software engineer. Incidentally, this is Huma's first film in South Indian Film Industry.
The film is reported to be a breezy love story set in the backdrop of London. The film has music by Rahul Raj.
The film was earlier slated for a release on this Vishu. But, due to the delay in the work, the makers had to push ahead, the release date. Now, the film is expected to be released on April 29th.
