Jayalalithaa, the honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu passed away on December 5, 2016. The actress-turned-politician, who was admitted at the Chennai Apollo Hospital from the past two months succumbed to cardiac arrest at 11.30 PM, on Monday.

Mollywood celebrities including the Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Manju Warrier, etc., expressed their deep grief over the demise of Jayalalithaa while speaking to the media and through their social media accounts, recently.

Mammootty

Mammootty, who shared a rare picture with CM Jayalalithaa through his official Facebook page, stated that she set an example for all by conquering the love of the people.

Mohanlal

Mohanlal expressed his grief over the demise of the honourable Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, by posting her picture on his official Facebook page.

Jayaram

Jayaram bid goodbye to the iron lady of Tamil Nadu, by posting a picture and a small note on his official Facebook page.

Manju Warrier

Manju Warrier posted a picture of Jayalalithaa along with a special note, on her official Facebook page. She stated that the 'Puratchi Thalaivi' has set an example for all single women out there.

Dulquer Salmaan, who grew up in Chennai, feels that the city will never be the same. He expressed his deep grief through a Facebook post.

Aju Varghese also thrashed the social media trollers, who made fun of Tamil Nadu's feelings for Jayalalithaa, by sharing a special Facebook post. The actor states that Chennai was the safest city, when she ruled the State.

Innocent and Suresh Gopi, the actors turned Members of Parliament, also expressed their deep grief over the demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, while addressing the media. Innocent also shared his working experience with Jayalalithaa.

The actor-MP had shared the screen with Jayalalithaa during the initial days of his career, for an epic drama titled Jesus. But, Innocent had absolutely no clue that, this beautiful woman was going to rule Tamil Nadu in the future.
