Jishnu Raghavan Passes Away

Jishnu Raghavan, the popular actor passed away. The 36-year-old succumbed to cancer today (March 25th, Friday), at a private hospital in Kochi. Jishnu was battling with cancer for the last few years.

He was the son of the veteran actor Raghavan and Shoba. He has a sister, named Jyotsna. Jishnu is survived by wife Dhanya Rajan, who is an architect by profession.

Jishnu, who was born in Kannur, did his schooling in Chennai and Trivandrum. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Calicut. Jishnu made his acting debut, as a child artist in 1987.

The actor made his lead role debut with Kamal directed Nammal, along with Siddharth Bharathan, Bhavana, and Renuka Menon. He later acted in several films, including the blockbuster Nerariyan CBI.

Jishnu was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, three years back. But it was cured completely and he made a successful comeback, with some exceptional movies, including Ordinary and Ustad Hotel.

But cancer relapsed back last year and Jishnu was undergoing treatment for the same. The actor, who is known for his highly positive attitude, had recently revealed that he was in ICU, through his Facebook page.
