Kabali
is
all
set
for
a
record
release
in
Kerala.
The
film
would
be
released
in
306
theatres
across
the
State.
According
to
the
reports,
as
many
as
2000
shows
would
be
screened
on
the
very
first
day
of
its
release
in
Kerala.
Mohanlal
and
Antony
Perumbavoor
are
distributing
the
film
to
the
theatres
in
Kerala
through
Aashirvad
Release
through
Max.
Going
by
the
number
of
screens
and
the
number
of
shows,
it
seems
like
Kabali
would
eclipse
all
other
previous
first
day
collection
records
at
the
Kerala
box
office.
At
present,
Vijay
starrer
Theri
holds
the
record
for
the
maximum
Day
1
collection
by
a
non-Malayalam
movie.
The
film
fetched
3.18
Crores
on
Day
1
at
the
Kerala
Box
Office.
The
numbers
look
overwhelming,
with
a
major
chunk
of
theatres
of
various
cities
all
set
to
screen
Kabali.
8
theatres
in
Thiruvananthapuram
city
would
screen
Kabali.
In
fact,
theatres
in
Thiruvananthapuram
would
begin
the
first
screening
of
the
film
at
5:30
AM
in
the
morning.
Similarly,
majority
of
the
theatres
in
Ernakulam
district
have
been
booked
to
screen
Kabali.
As
many
as
88
shows
would
be
screened
on
Day
1
in
Ernakulam
alone.
This
is
the
first
time
that
a
movie
is
being
screened
for
these
many
shows
in
the
city.
The
advance
booking
in
centres
like
Ernakulam
and
Thiruvananthapuram
has
been
phenomenal
and
most
of
the
shows
for
the
first
day
have
been
sold
out.
Release
of
Kabali
would
affect
Malayalam
films
like
Kasaba,
Anuraga
Karikkin
Vellam
and
Karinkunnam
Sixes,
which
have
been
doing
good
business
at
the
box-office.
Well,
this
kind
of
hype
is
something
which
we
have
not
seen
before,
even
for
the
films
of
Mollywood
superstars.
It
looks
like
Rajinikanth
is
all
set
to
take
over
the
Kerala
box
office.
