BOX OFFICE: Kasaba 8 Days Kerala Collections

Kasaba, the Eid release of Mammootty has entered the second week of its release. The movie has already made its way into the blockbusters list of 2016, with the excellent box office performance.

Interestingly, Kasaba made it into the 10 Crore club, just within the first 8 days of release. When it completed the 8th day of release, the Kerala gross collection is 10.03 Crores.

The movie made a gross collection of about 49 Lakhs on the 8th day. It is the first Mammootty movie to cross 10 Cross within such a short period of time, in the past few years.

The Nithin Renji Panicker movie was expected to break the record of Premam, by covering 10 Crores within the first week of release. But, Kasaba covered only 9.54 Crores, within the first week.

The working days affected the collection of Kasaba, as the collection has been facing a severe drop post the first weekend of release. The movie is expected to cover 15 Crores, within the second week of release.

Kasaba succeeded in breaking the record of Kali, by collecting 2.48 Crores on its release day. The movie also broke the first-weekend collection record of Loham, by collecting 7.36 Crores in just 4 days.
