'Leela' Excites Me: Biju Menon

Biju Menon, the versatile actor of our industry, is all excited about his upcoming project, Leela. In the recent interview given to Manorama Online, Biju Menon opened up about Leela.

The actor feels that he is extremely lucky to bag the central role in a movie, which is inspired from the popular short story. Biju is playing the central character Kuttiyappan, in the movie.

The role was initially offered to several actors, including the superstars, Mammootty and Mohanlal. But finally, the role went on to Biju Menon, who has been concentrating on supporting and comic roles.

Biju says that his character Kuttiyappan is a loner, who leads a carefress life. People think that he is mentally unstable. But Kuttiyappan is a man who is extremely dedicated to everything he does.

Even though he prefers to be in his comfort zone, Biju Menon says that he decided to play Kuttiyappan, as it is an interesting role. Biju gives the complete credits of his performance to director Ranjith.

Leela, which is penned by popular writer Unni R, stars Parvathy Nambiar in the title role. The movie is produced by the director Ranjith, himself, under the banner Capitol Films.
