Leela,
the
upcoming
Ranjith
movie,
is
the
new
talk
in
the
town.
Expectations
are
riding
high
on
Leela,
as
it
is
adapted
from
the
popular
short
story
of
the
same
name,
written
by
Unni
R.
In
a
recent
interview,
writer
Unni
R
stated
that
the
Biju
Menon
starrer
is
not
an
offbeat
movie;
but
a
feel-good
entertainer.
The
scenarist
revealed
that
the
movie
plot
is
different
from
the
short
story.
The
short
story
plot
is
a
little
more
serious
while
the
movie
is
a
fun-filled
entertainer.
Unni
R
assures
that
Kuttiyappan
will
be
a
turning
point
in
the
lead
actor
Biju
Menon's
acting
career.
He
also
states
that
Leela
will
be
another
masterpiece
by
Ranjith,
who
is
undoubtedly
one
of
the
most
brilliant
film-makers
of
the
industry.
In
short,
Leela
is
not
an
art
film;
but
a
commercial
entertainer.
The
project,
which
will
be
released
under
the
title
Leela-The
Never
Ending
Play,
was
initially
offered
to
Mammootty
and
Mohanlal.
But
both
the
actors
turned
down
the
offer
due
to
personal
reasons.

the
movie,
which
is
produced
by
Ranjith
himself,
under
the
banner
Capitol
Films.
The
movie
is
expected
to
hit
the
theatres
by
the
end
of
April.
