Maheshinte Prathikaaram, the Fahadh Faasil starrer, is running successfully at the theatres. The movie has been receiving highly positive reviews from all over and is considered as Fahadh's grand comeback.
According to the trade analysts, Maheshinte Prathikaaram has already entered the blockbusters league, by crossing 6 Crores, alone from the Kerala box office, when it completes the 10th day of release.
The movie has only been released in a few cities outside Kerala and is yet to have a wide release. Maheshinte Prathikaaram had a below average opening, with an initial collection of 60 Lakhs.
It was only released in 68 screens, on the release day. But the highly positive reviews and word of mouth publicity helped in increasing the number of screens, from 68 to 88 screens, within one week.
The reason behind such a low profile release was the miserable failures of Fahadh Faasil's last few films. But the movie is now on the way to emerge as the biggest ever solo hit in Fahadh's career.
Maheshinte Prathikaaram marked the directorial debut of actor Dileesh Pothan. The movie, which is produced by film-maker Aashiq Abu stars Anusree and Aparna Balamurali in the female leads.
