Meet Malavika Nair, The New Child Artist Turned Actress In M'Town!

Do you remember the little girl who acted as the blind girl Malli, in Mammootty starrer Karuthapakshikal? Yes, we are talking about Malavika Nair who has won two State Awards as a child artist.

Malavika Nair, would next be seen as a lead heroine of the film Dafedhar which would have Tini Tom in the lead role. The film was earlier planned with Kalabhavan Mani.

The actress, made her debut in films with Kamal's Karuthapakshikal. Interestingly, Malavika went on to win the Kerala State Film Award For The Best Child Artist with her very first film itself.

Malavika Nair was later seen in films like Mayabazar, Yes Your Honour, Orkkuka Vallapozhum, Shikkar, Penpattanam, Kandahar, Naughty Professor, Ithra Mathram, Pulliman, Vadhyar, Oomakkuyil Paadumbol etc. Her role in the 2012 film Oomakkuyil Paadumbol fetched her the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Child Artist, once again.

The actress after a break of 3 years did make a comeback with the film Akkaldamayile Pennu which had Shwetha Menon in the lead role. Malavika Nair portrayed the role of the daughter of the character played by Shwetha Menon in the film.

Dafedhar would be written and directed by Johnson Esthappan. The film would have music by Ilaiyaraja. The shooting of the film has begun in Chalakkudy. the film would also have Indrans, Sudheer karaman, devan etc in important roles.
