Ahmed Haaji played by Mammootty, was a character filled extreme negative shades and the actor excelled in this role. The actor also played the lead role of Haridas in the film. Mammootty even went on to win the Kerala State Award for the Best Actor for his performance in the film.

Dileep In Kunjikoonan
Dileep appeared in dual roles in this super hit film. The actor appeared as a hunchback and also as youngster named Prasad, who is obsessed about his lover. In fact, the character of Prasad had slight grey shades but doesn't feature as a villain throughout the movie.
In fact, many movies from the black and white era, have used actors in such a way. For an instance, in the film Kadalpaalam, Sathyan appeared in a dual role as father and son, out of which the father character had slight negative shades associated with it.
