JUST OUT: Mammootty's Kasaba Official First Look Poster

The official first look poster of Kasaba, the Mammootty starring police story, is out. The colourful, promising first look poster has been going viral on social media and is widely accepted by the audiences.

Kasaba marks the direcorial debut of Nithin Renji Panicker, the son of writer-actor Renji Panicker. Mammootty essays the central character, Circle Inspector Rajan Zachariah. The movie is scripted by Nithin, himself.

The movie, which stars Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the female lead, will hit the theatres on July 7th. Kasaba may lock horns with Mohanlal's Puli Murugan, which is also expected to be released on the same day.

As per the sources close to the project, Mammootty's Rajan is a police officer who is very cunning and soft-natured. He is not one of those filmy police officers, who stuns with the strong actions and dialogues.

Mammootty is back with a police role, after a long gap. He last appeared as a cop in Daddy Cool. The movie stars Sambath, Siddique, Jagadish, Kalabhavan Navas, Neha Saxena, etc in the other pivotal roles.

Sameer Haq handles the cinematography. Rahul Raj composes the music. Sameera Saneesh designs the costumes. Kasaba is produced by Alice George, under the banner Goodwill Entertainments.
