Mammootty, the megastar of Mollywood is one of those actors who has witnessed some real highs and lows in his career. There were times when the entire film industry concluded that Mammootty's career was finished.

In 1998, Mammootty was honoured with the fourth highest civilian award of the country, Padma Shri for his contribution to the Indian film industry. He has also received an honorary doctorate from University Of Calicut and University Of Kerala, in 2010.

Mammootty is one of those actors who made a place in the industry without any godfathers. The megastar is undoubtedly a huge inspiration for every youngster who dreams of cinema.
