CONFIRMED: Mammootty And Ranjith Back Together

Mammootty and Ranjith, one of the most celebrated actor-director duo of contemporary Malayalam cinema, is back. It has been confirmed that Ranjith is all set to direct Mammootty in his next venture.

Recently, the director confirmed that he is currently working on the script of the upcoming Mammootty project, which will start rolling by mid-2016. Ranjith refused to reveal more details about the project.

The director confirmed that the movie will not have any similarities with his earlier Mammootty films, including Kaiyoppu, Pranchiyettan And The Saint, and Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Kadha.

Ranjith and Mammootty last teamed up for the movie Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty, which failed to impress both the audiences and critics. The duo is teaming up, after a gap of 3 years.

The director-writer has always stated that he more attached to Mammootty, than any other actors. He shares a great professional bond with all his actors; while Mammootty is more like a family member.

For Ranjith, making characters for Mammootty is much easier. He points out that he can easily convince Mammootty to play a role. Well, we are already excited about the next project of the duo.
