Mammootty's CBI 5 Will Not Disappoint The Audiences: SN Swamy

SN Swamy, the veteran writer is back with the fifth instalment of the highly celebrated Mammootty starring investigation thriller series, CBI Series. In a recent interview, Swamy revealed more details about CBI 5.

The writer confirmed that the project which has been temporarily titled as CBI 5, will be an entirely different thriller and will not have the shades of the first 4 films of the series.

Swamy is not sure whether CBI 5 will be able to repeat the success of the first four parts of the series. But, the writer confirms that the movie will not disappoint the audiences.

As of now, Mammootty is the only actor to reprise his character in the 5th instalment as well. Mukesh, who played the character Chacko in the first 4 parts of the series, is not a part of CBI 5.

It is believed that the makers are planning to introduce a new team, as the subordinates of central character Sethurama Iyer. But SN Swamy refused to reveal more about the star cast of the film.

But, the scenarist confirmed that Renji Panicker will essay a key role in the movie. K Madhu is the director of the CBI 5 as well. It is a comeback for the director, who has been staying away from films.

Shyam, who composed the famous CBI theme music, will compose the music for the fifth part as well. Reportedly, a popular music director has also been roped in for the movie.
