GOOD NEWS: Mammootty's Karnan Is Still On Cards

Karnan, the highly anticipated Mammootty starring epic drama was rumoured to be shelved. It was reported that the project has been dropped, as Mammootty didn't want to compete with Prithviraj's Karnan.

But, director Madhupal and writer P Sreekumar brushed off the rumours and confirmed that the project is very much on cards. The director-writer duo revealed that they have already started the pre-production activities.

According to writer P Sreekumar, the team has already roped in the technicians, including the art director for the project. Director Madhupal, on the other hand, clarified that 'Karnan' is not the title of the movie.

The team is yet to decide the title and the rest of the star cast of the movie. The director-writer duo confirmed that it will be a very different experience,and will not have any similarities with Prithviraj's Karnan.

Reportedly, Mammootty is keeping mum about the project, as it is only in its budding stage. The team members state that the megastar is really excited about the project and offered his complete cooperation.

The project will not be a typical big-budget epic drama but is a different attempt which will make use of Mammootty's exceptional acting skills to the fullest. The project will start rolling by the mid-2017.
