Kasaba,
the
Mammootty
starrer
hit
the
theatres
on
7th
July.
The
movie,
which
is
running
successfully
all
over
Kerala
and
the
major
Indian
cities,
is
all
set
to
release
in
Gulf
countries.
The
movie
is
releasing
all
over
GCC
today
(4th
August),
in
about
64
centres.
Kasaba,
which
is
directed
by
Nithin
Renji
Panicker,
has
broken
multiple
box
office
records
of
Malayalam
movie
industry.
It
made
an
initial
collection
of
2.48
Crores
from
the
Kerala
box
office,
thus
emerging
as
the
movie
with
the
highest
initial
collection.
But
the
release
of
Rajinikanth's
Kabali
affected
the
collection
of
Kasaba
badly.
But
now,
the
movie
is
expected
to
be
back
in
form,
as
several
releasing
centres
are
bringing
back
Kasaba
into
the
screens.
The
movie
is
expected
to
cross
25
Crores
gross
collection,
within
the
first
month
of
release.
Mammootty's
earlier
releases,
including
the
highly
acclaimed
Pathemari,
were
well-received
by
the
Gulf
audiences.
Kasaba
team
expects
that
the
movie
will
succeed
in
repeating
the
box
office
magic
in
GCC.
Meanwhile,
the
team
is
all
set
to
move
legally
against
the
Kerala
Women's
Commission's
actions
against
the
movie.
However,
lead
actor
Mammootty
has
not
commented
on
the
issue
yet.
