WOW! Mammootty's CBI 5 To Go On Floors Next Year?
If reports are to be believed, Mammootty's CBI 5, which would be the fifth instalment of the CBI series, would go on floors soon.
CBI series is one of the most popular franchises in Malayalam films. The character Sethurama Iyer CBI has attained a cult status, over the years and is regarded as one of the most popular on-screen characters portrayed by Mammootty.
Earlier, there were reports that the makers of the film are gearing up for the fifth instalment of the series. Now, here is an interesting update regarding the same.
Reportedly, CBI 5 would go on floors by March, next year. If reports are to be believed, actor Mammootty has given the nod and he would join the movie, once he completes the shoot for Ranjith's Puthanpanam and Shyamdhar's upcoming project.
Rumours are rife that the new film in the series would be quite different from the rest. Reportedly, the film would be shot in locations like Hyderabad, Delhi etc., and Sethurama Iyer and team would be heading for an investigation outside Kerala, for the first time.
Renji Panicker would play an important character in the movie and would be the latest addition to the Sethuramaiyer team. The film has its script written by S N Swamy, who had penned all the other films of the series. K Madhu will wield the megaphones for the film.
